The mission of the University of Tennessee Office of Prospect Systems is to proactively manage our prospect data system and facilitate coordinated movement of the university’s major gift prospects and donors through all stages of the gift giving process. We provide a wide range of support to the development staff at all of the university’s campuses and institutes.

Below are a few of the services we provide:

  • Prospect policy development and implementation;
  • Coordination of prospect assignments;
  • Compilation and reporting of prospect data;
  • Assistance in identification of new prospects;
  • Reporting on Campaign progress;
  • Processing of gift agreements and requests for new gift accounts;
  • Processing of gifts of securities.

Prospect Management - Policy Manual

These policies are designed to provide procedures for coordinating the solicitations of major gift prospects. The policies are intended to encourage solicitation activity in a way that maximizes each donor's potential to the university system and to ensure that all of our donors' interests are considered. The policies are not intended to curb initiatives or interfere with long-standing relationships with prospective and past donors.
